Advanced Contemporary includes a full body warm up with combos standing, upside-down, and on the ground followed by phrase work and some feel-good across the floor progressions. Let’s have a blast with our favorite music while taking apart and getting into the nitty-gritty details of timing, floor-work, inversions, and a powerful grounded center. This class is for advanced-level dancers and concurrent enrollment in Ballet is strongly encouraged. Students will spend a portion of class preparing for our Original Works production March 13-14 (for returning students). Following Original Works, students will learn a piece for our annual Spring Concert, June 4-7. Regular attendance is required in order to perform and instructor permission required.
