Vashon Maury Chamber Orchestra: Fall Flourish

Come hear the newly expanded Vashon-Maury Chamber Orchestra in a program of great classical music for strings. Mendelssohn’s dramatic Sinfonia No. 10 shows his astonishing skill as a teenage composer. Carl Nielsen’s early Little Suite hints at the harmonic and rhythmic surprises to come from that irrepressible Dane. Peter Warlock and William Walton bring English music inspired by Renaissance dance and Shakespeare. The afternoon closes with Bach’s sparkling Third Brandenburg Concerto. Led by Artistic Director Danielle McCutcheon and conductor Gary D. Cannon, this is the VMCO as you’ve never heard them before!
