For two days, the Blue Heron will transform into the VCA Art Bazaar — a lively, discovery-filled sale featuring original artwork from two special sources: artists opening their archives and collectors opening their private collections.

This is not a typical gallery exhibition. It is a chance to hunt, discover, collect, and take something wonderful home.

From Artists' Studios

Vashon artists will be bringing out older work, previous series, studies, small works, and other pieces from their studios and archives. Artists offering art at huge discounts (at least 40-50% off of their usual price, creating a rare opportunity for first-time art buyers and other collectors to add to their original art collections.

For artists, the Bazaar is an opportunity to put older work back into circulation while generating cash flow to support the creation of what comes next — new materials, new ideas, new experiments, and new bodies of work.

From Private Collections

The Bazaar will also feature artwork from private collections. Many longtime collectors have accumulated extraordinary art over the years and are now downsizing, moving to smaller homes, or simply ready to see treasured pieces begin a new chapter.
