Summer Arts Fest 2026 – Round #3 Opening Reception

Join us on Friday, August 14, from 5–8pm for the opening reception of Round #3 of the 9th Annual Vashon Summer Arts Fest at Vashon Center for the Arts. As the final exhibition of the festival, this round highlights the creativity and innovation that make Vashon's arts community so distinctive.

Round #3 of Summer Arts Fest features work by Darsie Beck, Sara Barry, Alexis Czaplinski, Gregory Foster, Bob Horsley, Tyler Kaltreider, Rachael Osborn, and Eddy Radar, as well as The Big Print Show, a special exhibition of large-scale prints created during the Big Print Event in the Blue Heron’s parking lot on August 9. Inspired by the theme Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water, 28 local print artists carved linoleum blocks and used a steamroller as a printing press to produce monumental 36" x 24" prints. Together, these artists and exhibitions offer a vibrant finale to the 2026 Summer Arts Fest.

The Gallery Shop will feature a collection of pottery work by Laurie Thorpe from August 7 – 30.

Summer Arts Fest is dedicated exclusively to Vashon artists and offers a unique opportunity to experience the breadth of artistic talent found on the Island. Visitors can meet artists, connect with fellow art enthusiasts, and enjoy an evening of conversation, creativity, and community.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to help us celebrate the final round of this year's festival.
