Summer Arts Fest 2026 – Round #2 Opening Reception

Celebrate the opening of Round #2 of the 9th Annual Vashon Summer Arts Fest on Friday, July 24, from 5–8pm at Vashon Center for the Arts. Dedicated exclusively to Vashon artists, Summer Arts Fest offers visitors the opportunity to experience the depth, diversity, and vitality of the Island's visual arts community through three distinct exhibitions presented throughout the summer.

Round #2 features an exceptional group of artists whose work spans painting, fiber art, collage, photography, watercolor, glass, and more. Exhibiting artists include Darsie Beck, Kassana Holden, Yulia Ivachchenko, Rachel LordKenaga, Janis McElroy, Diane Kulju, John Schuh, Jeff Good, Jeanne Marie Thomas, and Barbara Wells.

Guests are invited to meet the artists, enjoy light refreshments, and explore the galleries during this festive community gathering. Summer Arts Fest continues to be one of Vashon's most anticipated cultural traditions, bringing together artists, collectors, and art lovers from across the region.

Summer Arts Fest is made possible with support by Cheryl Lubbert & Jim Gerlach of Nashi Orchards, and Beth de Groen.

Land Acknowledgment
Vashon Island is the traditional homeland of the sx̌ʷəbabš (pronounced Schwa-ah-babsh) people, a once thriving Native community decimated by colonization. VCA is committed to stewarding this land, fostering creativity, and honoring indigenous culture through the arts.

Diversity and Inclusion
We celebrate diversity in all aspects of the work we do and support an environment of inclusion, racial equity, and social justice in our programming and operations. We welcome all individuals to our campus and steward them with respect and dignity. We hold our patrons and all affiliates to the same standard: our home is a center for all, regardless of race, place of origin, sex, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or class.
