Marine Science, Geology & Coastal Discovery
Dip your toes into the waters of the Puget Sound and delve into the biodiverse ecosystems around Vashon Island. Make marine-inspired art and play nature games. Learn about earn about Singer, Vashon's beloved gray whale and other local whale species from a marine scientist; examine jellyfish at Raabs Lagoon; explore the geology of KVI rocks as you look for agates, jasper, and quartz; collect water samples at Fern Cove to see microscopic phytoplankton and zooplankton. A fun dive into science!
