Celebrate art, music, and community at Pam Ingalls’ Artist Talk & Celebration—a special afternoon marking a meaningful milestone in her portrait series. Her VCA exhibition, Facing the Music: Portraits of Vashon Island Musicians, is the 20th exhibition in her beloved Vashon Portrait Show series—a vision she set out to achieve two decades ago and has now beautifully realized.Over the years, Pam has created a remarkable visual record of Island life, capturing neighbors, artists, and community members with warmth, honesty, and luminous oil painting. This newest series turns her focus to Vashon’s musicians—the artists whose work forms the soundtrack of the community. Many of her subjects have performed on the Kay White Hall stage, helping shape the Island’s rich cultural landscape.Join us for a lively and engaging afternoon featuring this collection, along with an artist talk from Pam herself. The celebration includes a special video retrospective in Kay Hall highlighting her artistic journey over the past twenty years, created by Michael Monteleone, plus light bites and drinks. You might even spot yourself—or friends—in this heartfelt tribute to the community.
