There's country music, and then there's Hawaiian country music — a genre unto itself, shaped by wide open ranchlands, volcanic landscapes, and a culture that has been making music for generations. Kala'e + Kalena are at its forefront.

The husband-and-wife duo brings together two multi-award-winning artists: Kala'e Parish, a native Hawaiian country artist Grammy.com has called "right at the vanguard of this form," and Kalena, a classically-trained pianist, singer, and former keyboardist and vocalist for the celebrated Hawaiian group Kapena. Hailing from the ranchlands of Hawai'i Island, their roots run deep — and it shows in every note.

Together, they deliver something irresistible: sublime harmonies, beautifully complementary vocals, and a set that moves effortlessly between high-energy country classics, soul-stirring originals, and powerful ballads. Their charm and warmth are disarming, drawing audiences in from the first song and holding them there. It's no accident they've opened for Morgan Wade, Brett Young, and Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts — their stage presence holds its own at any level.

But what makes Kala'e + Kalena truly special is the way they carry Hawaiian musical tradition into a genre that rarely gets to hear it. This isn't a novelty act or a crossover experiment — it's the real thing, born from a culture with generational roots in song and a landscape that practically demands music.
