Join VHS jewelry teacher Kate Dunagan and learn lost wax casting, a technique that has been used to make jewelry for thousands of years. Design and create a wax model, then "invest" it (make a mold of the model). The wax will be burnt out in a kiln, creating a cavity to inject with molten silver or bronze. File and sand to bring to a finish and, voila, you have a unique piece of jewelry! No previous experience necessary, returning lost wax casting students are welcome.

Tuition includes $50 materials/lab fee: materials/lab fee includes use of all studio tools and bronze metal. If you wish to cast in sterling silver, you may bring your own casting grain or buy it from the instructor during class for an additional fee.
