A combination class of Contemporary and Lyrical techniques and phrase-work, class will train Intermediate-Advanced Intermediate level students in Lyrical timing and expression, floor-work, and Contemporary movement. Following a center warm up focused on building upper body strength, floor fluidity, and parallel alignment, we will continue with across the floor phrases in both styles. Concurrent enrollment in ballet is strongly encouraged. Students will spend a portion of class preparing for our Original Works production March 13-14 (for returning students). Following Original Works, students will learn a piece for our annual Spring Concert, June 4-7. Regular attendance is required in order to perform. Instructor permission required.
