Learn to make jewelry from VHS jewelry teacher Kate Dunagan! Using silver, brass, and copper, beginners will explore essential jewelry fabrication skills, sawing metal shapes, adding texture, and filing, sanding, and finishing surfaces to a polished shine, in addition to learning to use a torch to solder pieces together, with cold-joining techniques introduced for creating moving parts. Returning students will refine their soldering skills and expand their technique repertoire, including bezel-setting stones. Projects include a silver band, domed earrings, a hollow form ring or pendant, and bezel-set stones.

Tutition includes $50 materials/lab fee: materials/lab fee includes use of studio tools, copper, brass and bronze. If you wish to  use sterling silver and stones, you may buy them from the instructor during class for an additional fee.
