Garden Tour Stop #1 – Vashon Center for the Arts
Vashon Center for the Arts (VCA) is the central hub of the entire Garden Tour experience. For the duration of the Garden Tour weekend, the Katherine L. White Hall at VCA will host an exemplary Art Bazaar featuring a great many local artists who will be showing and selling their artworks. Furthermore, the Koch Gallery at VCA will be showing a harmonizing, garden-inspired exhibition featuring the superb work of several Vashon artists.
On Saturday, June 23rd from 4:00–6:00 pm, the Katherine L. White Hall will hold a Wine Tasting & Lecture where Island author and farmer, Kurt Timmermeister will engage with us about his work and discuss his new book, “Farm Food, Volume 2; Spring and Summer.” Following the lecture, there will be a book signing and tasting of wines from Andrew Will Winery and Pollard Vineyard. (Wine Tasting & Lecture sold as a separate ticket.) Also happening at VCA: Robinwood Nursery will host a pop-up nursery on Saturday, and Nashi Orchards will host a permaculture education booth both Saturday and Sunday!
