Gala & Live Auction is Saturday, September 30th

Join us “Under the Harvest Moon” as we bring together friends, neighbors, and arts lovers for Vashon Center for the Arts biggest fundraising event of the year – all in support of our enriching arts programs and Scholarship Fund.
It’s a full month-long spectacular! Before the big Gala event happens on Saturday, September 30th
For four weeks, visitors and patrons are encouraged to come by the Katherine L White Hall and bid on all the auction items up for grabs. Island artists, as well as many regional artists, have donated their masterpieces to help raise important funds for VCA. Thanks to many patrons and business supporters, there are also unique experiences and destination trips available to bid on and win!
It all comes together on one magical night – Saturday, September 30th – when masked arts lovers come together in celebration of the arts, community, and education.
What’s new at the auction this year? We’re skipping the dinner! At the start of the Gala Party on September 30th, patrons will find appetizers aplenty to keep them nourished rather than a sit-down meal at the end of a long night. A single ticket price of $75 per person will provide a more inclusive, affordable experience for all involved. This change will help decrease event expenses and be more manageable for VCA’s reduced staff.
More Games!! When guests arrive at the top of the evening on September 30th, they’ll find a return to some good ol’ fashioned fundraising games: look for wine toss and balloon pops! Don’t forget to pick up a Golden Ticket for your chance to win two roundtrip Alaska Airlines tickets (value $2,500)! Only 100 Golden Tickets will be sold. Once they are gone, they’re gone!

Silent Auction items can be viewed all month long! Stop by anytime during public hours (Wed – Sun, 12-5pm) to view Silent and Live items or go online at https://vca.maxgiving.bid where guests can register and bid. All bidding will be online.
THE BIG NIGHT – Saturday, September 30th!
Join Vashon Center for the Arts for an unforgettable evening ‘under a harvest moon’ with hosts Martha Enson and Kevin Joyce, of EnJoy Productions. Arrive at 5:30pm and find the Katherine L. White Hall transformed by the moonlit night. Enjoy appetizers, refreshments, and games of chance before the main event begins in The Kay. Guests will be ushered into the theatre where the Live Auction and Gala Event will begin featuring surprise performances, a line-up of live items worthy of your attention, and a special appeal for our beloved Blue Heron Education Center.
About the Special Appeal
During the Live Auction on September 30th, guests will be asked to raise their paddles and donate in support of VCA’s Blue Heron Education Center – home to Arts Education, Dance, and Music instruction for all ages. Specifically, funds raised during the appeal will replenish VCA’s Scholarship Fund that keeps programming accessible to all islanders; and support the ongoing renovations to our beloved (and historic) Blue Heron building where all our educational programs happen. By raising their bid cards high, guests ensure that any and all Vashon residents can participate in VCA’s dance, visual and performing arts classes and that these programs are of the highest quality.
