Join Elise Erickson, who holds a BA in Dance from St. Olaf College and is the cofounder of PDX Dance Collective in Portland, for Barre Fitness on Tuesdays and Fridays 9-10am. Have little ones? Bring them! Based on the fundamentals of Ballet barre movements, this class will tone, tighten and strengthen all your muscle groups without impact on the joints. A dance-based stretch will increase your flexibility and muscular balance, and you will leave feeling like a million bucks. A low impact workout including simple but effective ballet based barre exercises, movement with free weights and stretching. The ballet barre exercises are designed for those with little to no dance experience. Repetition will help to stretch and strengthen backs and legs. Free weight exercises and movement strengthen core and arms. Full body stretching is designed to release tension and increase overall mobility.
