Paint for a Purpose: Salmon
Friday, May 21, 2-3:30 pm
Instructor: Britt Freda
Location: Heron Meadow (on east side of the VCA campus)
Ready to paint for a purpose? Join artist Britt Freda on Endangered Species Day (May 21) for this workshop bringing attention to the protection and improvement of watershed habitat for threatened/endangered salmon of our region. Participants will paint hand crafted cedar forms to be installed as part of a collective public art piece to be installed either at the Heron Meadow or at the Vashon Heritage Museum. Each participant will receive a cedar salmon form, paint and paint brushes for the project and instruction on our collaborative design choices. This project was made possible with support from Puget Soundkeeper’s Alliance and The Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment.
If you are able and want to pay it forward by purchasing a spot in the workshop for someone who would be helped by the financial support, please indicate upon registration completion.
