The fifth installment of Vashon Center for the Arts’ in-house late-night-talk-show-ish thing, “It’s Late on Vashon(iLOV)” will be livestreamed Monday November 2nd at the ungodly late hour of 9pm. The show is a chance to get to know some of our island gems in our virtual living room through interviews with host Darragh Kennan and performances by local artists.
This episode is themed, “Forest for the trees” and will feature Michael Meade, renowned storyteller, author, and scholar of mythology, anthropology, and psychology. He combines hypnotic storytelling, street-savvy perceptiveness, and spellbinding interpretations of ancient myths with a deep knowledge of cross-cultural rituals. He has an unusual ability to distill and synthesize these disciplines, tapping into ancestral sources of wisdom and connecting them to the stories we are living today.
Joe Panzetta of Saint Ophelia, will be the featured artist, performing his soulful original song and joined by Michael Meade in a special collaboration.
Other regular segments in the show include: A restaurant demo from a local bar/restaurant, Vashon Trivia Time, Who’s Your Hero?, and the 4-Way traffic report with Glenn Easley. iLOV runs 30-40 minutes the first Monday of every month @9pm.
You can view it from the VCA website or Facebook page.
