Compelling Photography: Settings and Composition
Ages: 10-15
Fridays, May 21-June 18 | 3-5 pm

Instructor: Ray Pfortner
Location: Zoom and various outdoor locations on Vashon

Strengthen your ability to take great photos by practicing at various island locations. Learn to use your camera’s settings and to explore new ways of seeing composition to develop your own personal style of photography. Field trip photo shoots include Fisher Pond, Point Robinson, Shinglemill Creek & Fern Cove and Vashon town.

Class Schedule:

May 21 – Point Robinson, Meet in upper parking lot

May 28- VCA, Meet at Heron Meadow (east of the Kay White Hall parking lot)

June 4 – Fisher Pond, Meet at building at west end of pond

June 11- Online via Zoom, Discuss results from the first three classes, using Flickr

June 18 – Fern Cove + Shinglemill, Low tide walk – meet at entrance gate to Fern Cove off West Side Highway
