Christmas is celebrated around the world as both a sacred and secular occasion. Here in the Pacific Northwest that is no exception. The Vashon Island Chorale will present ten works by local composers, ranging from Reginald Unterseher’s ebullient “Christmas Joy” to Jessica French’s nostalgic “The Oxen” to Giselle Wyers’s reflective “After the Winter”. The concert also features a world premiere by Calvin Rice, plus Morten Lauridsen’s beloved “O magnum mysterium”. Join us for this uniquely Northwest Christmas celebration.
