In September, Ariadne auf Naxos will mark the company’s first foray into the repertoire of Richard Strauss with this beautiful and complex composition. Through the examination of highbrow art and lowbrow comedy in its opera-within-an-opera structure, you’ll be wowed by stunning arias and amused by the hilarious circumstances that ensue!

Sunday, May 7 at 2:30 pm
In May 2023, comes Verdi’s unbelievably gorgeous and ground-breaking opera, Rigoletto. Not for the faint-hearted, Rigoletto is exciting and gritty. Verdi weaves
a richly illuminated tapestry bucking some of the musical traditions of the day making for a fast-paced, action-packed evening complete with a nobleman’s curse, an assassin, a thunderstorm and one of opera’s all-time greatest hit tunes. An opera much beloved by everyone who experiences it, you’ll be glad you got to see it up close with Vashon Opera.
