Re-opening Plan | June 30, 2021
Full Re-Opening in The Kay:
With Governor Inslee’s announcement on June 29th, VCA will ease into a full re-opening this week.
We will continue to request that masks be worn for the time being; however, we will allow guests to remove their masks if they provide proof of vaccination to our staff upon entry.
We will have a designated area in our courtyard for beverage consumption during events, but guests wishing to consume beverages while freely moving about and viewing art in the gallery must provide proof of vaccination to remove their masks to do so.
Full re-opening means a return to full-capacity events.
Re-Opening in the Blue Heron Education Center:
Summer Camps and Classes with Ages 12 and Under: Masks will be required indoors and outdoors, and social distancing will continue. Families will be asked to keep their child home if anyone in the family is experiencing Covid symptoms.
Summer Camps and Classes with Students ages 12 and Up: Masks will be required indoors and social distancing will continue. Masks will not be required in classes where ALL students are vaccinated.
NEW HOURS STARTING JULY 1:
We will implement extended summer hours in the Kay White Hall starting July 1st through Labor Day. Our new hours will be: Wed thru Sun, 12-5PM
As we have done so since the start of the pandemic, we will continue working with the Vashon Medical Reserve Corps for guidance on revising protocols, if necessary, and to consult on specific situations that may arise this summer. We are immensely grateful to have the MRC as a resource to answer questions and guide our decisions as we shape a safe and healthy path forward.
